# Which companies are visiting your website? We name them.

Most visits never fill in a form. We put visitor company identification on your site, so the companies behind those visits are named, with the pages they read and the campaigns that brought them.

## From anonymous visits to named companies

Your analytics counts visits. It does not tell you whether the visitor was the company you have been trying to reach.

## What you get for each company

Names are only useful with the story behind them. Each company comes with four things.

### The pages they read

Pricing, a case study or the blog. What they read says how close they are.

### The campaign that brought them

So you can see which campaigns reach the companies you want.

### Whether they come back

A company that returns to your pricing page is worth a call.

### Where they sit in HubSpot

New to sales, already worked, or already in the pipeline, if you use HubSpot.

From the daily digest

## Names turn into a message your sales team can act on

When target companies come back to a page that matters, the digest says so and says what to do next.

Stated up front

### It names companies, not people, and not every visit

A visit is matched to the company behind it. Some visits cannot be matched, such as people working from home, so you see a share of the companies visiting, not every one. It starts naming visits from the day it is switched on.

It works at company level and does not name individual people. We do not promise it removes the need for a privacy notice or for consent on your site, so take advice on your own consent set-up.

To confirm: the share of visits we typically match.

## How it works

Put in once as part of onboarding. No code to write on your side.

1

### Companies start to appear

From the first visits after it goes live.

3

### They join your reports

Alongside LinkedIn and HubSpot, in the companies report and the dashboards.

4

### Your sales team gets the signal

The digest says which target companies came back.

## Questions about visitor company identification

### Does it name the people?

No. It names the company behind a visit, not the person.

### Will it name every visitor?

No. Some visits cannot be matched, so you see a share of the companies visiting.

### Do I need my own Snitcher account?

We prefer it, because then you own the account completely. It can also be billed through Crank. Either way you pay the provider’s list price, with no markup.

### How soon do companies appear?

From the first visits after it goes live.

### Does it replace our website analytics?

No. It adds company names to your visits. Your analytics stays as it is.

### What do I need to tell visitors?

It names companies, not people. We cannot promise it removes the need for a privacy notice or for consent on your site, so take advice on your own consent set-up.

### How do I try it first?

Start with the [free companies report](/crank-os/free-companies-report). It shows the companies engaging with your marketing.

### Does it show visits from before it was switched on?

No. It starts naming visits from the day it is switched on.
